Following the release of her critically acclaimed debut album Know it All, Alessia Cara has also seen tremendous success by lending her vocals on three singles last year.

Joining Def Jam’s signee,  Logic on his suicide-awareness anthem ‘1-800-273-8255’, the Canadian singer-songwriter went on to adding her voice to “How Far I’ll Go”, the official song of Disney’s animated film Moana, and “Stay” her collaboration with Zedd.

The 2018 Grammy winner for Best New Artist is back this week with a bright, reggae-tinged record, that stands out for discussing the heavy topic in a laidback manner. A challenging way to talk about breaking out of a toxic place in a relationship, to step back from it and attain clarity. Incredibly catchy and with an effortless delivery, the track screams the message, “I can do better alone”, and I, for one can definitely relate to that sentiment!

Alessia Cara is expected to drop her sophomore album ‘The Pains of Growing’ later this fall, but until then, you can stream ‘Trust My Lonely’, below.
