Fever Ray continues the Plunge with a new music video (and tour)

Fever Ray is fucking weird. But she’s also fucking brilliant.

Imagine, if you will, a Swedish mix between the pure artistry of Kate Bush and the violent experimentation of Bjork and you’re only half way into Fever Ray’s twisted image of pop music.

After releasing her second album ‘Plunge’ last year, the artist formerly known as Karin Dreijer has dropped the visual for new single ‘Wanna Sip,’ the fifth ‘part’ of the visual suite of the album.

Hypnotic and harrowing, Dreijer’s understated vocals hum over a backing track that’s part synth, part horror movie.

“I wanna love you,” she decides. “But it’s not…easy.”

But that’s not all that’s happening in the world of Fever Ray. She’s also going on tour! While we don’t think she’ll be pulling a Britney and visiting Scarborough, Dreijer will be taking ‘Plunge’ on the road across North America (her first time touring there in 8 years), Europe and even two dates here in both London and Manchester.

Fever Ray plays London’s Troxy on Mach 20th and Manchester’s Albert Hall on March 21st.

Watch the disturbing visual for ‘Wanna Sip’ below.
