Future x Lanvin Lab: Pluto
Future officially debuts his Lanvin Lab collection.
Lanvin recently presented its first capsule collection in collaboration with rapper and producer Future from Atlanta.
The unisex collection is called Pluto and stands in reference to the planet of the name and symbolises “regeneration and transformation to achieve a new perspective” according to The French luxury house. Two symbols carry particular meaning: the Eagle, evoking courage, majesty and truth, as well as a sense of flying high with bird’s eye vision. The Star, protective and empowering, guides the way forward.
The capsule collection entails a range of clothing items that puts comfort of customers at its core. The models include jackets in utility style, graphic hoodies, and t-shirts, as well as tailored jackets. There is also a series of accessories such as faux fur hats, sunglasses, belts, bags, gloves, leather goods, and a nightwear set consisting of slippers, a pillow, and a mask.
“FUTURE has drawn upon the LANVIN archives to create an exquisite jacket where metallic studs are embroidered onto leather, forming a dazzling constellation. He has printed typography from 1930s-1940s LANVIN perfume campaigns onto denim. FUTURE takes the opportunity to establish his own updated sneaker: the Curb 3.0.”
The Lanvin Lab project was launched to provide artists and designers with a creative hub that ‘aims to promote creative collaboration and unique cultural dialogue.’
