The road is home for Louis the Child. Having helped shape EDM from 2015 to 2018, they became a household name for ravers and a gateway into electronic spaces for non-electronic listeners alike. As they tour, they grace festival stages with their sense of adventure and colorful, electrifying sound. After years of producing together, the process is still authentic, and they approach time and aging with a rare confidence, certain that their masterful songmaking and enthusiastic stage presence will be roaring for years to come. Now leaving their twenties and entering their next chapter, they hold one belief: "We're going to make even better music in our thirties."
And we believe it.
The duo gave us a sneak peek into life on tour with this special photo diary, captured at Elements Festival a couple weeks prior.
Elements Festival is located in Long Pond, PA so we took advantage of the scenery and rented an airbnb instead of staying at a hotel. Robby putting some finishing touches on the setlist the morning of the show.
Keegan (who runs our visuals) made some delicious bacon egg and cheese biscuits for lunch.
We got to the festival and did a few interviews.
Freddy had some family come out to the festival, here he is with his Dad.
They gave us 2 bottles of champagne in our trailer so we decided to give one of them to our friend Nikita, The Wicked. We dropped it off in his trailer while he was performing so he’d come back to a little gift afterwards.
A few minutes to showtime.
They asked us to perform the sunset slot so we did our best to play music that felt like it fit that time of day. All the stages at the festival are named after different elements and we were on the “Fire” stage. It was really big, this photo only captures about a third of it.
It was our first time playing Elements and lots of artists and fans speak highly of it, it definitely lived up to the hype!
After the set was done we rested up for a little before heading out to the campgrounds for an after hours Playground Set at the EVOL Afters sound camp. We had no idea where the camp was though, so we drove around the muddy campgrounds for a while asking people for directions. We don’t really have any photos from the set itself, but that probably means we were having a really good time.
