Exclusive Interview With

ALL(H)OURS

1. Can you share the story behind the formation of ALL(H)OURS and how you came together as a group?

XAYDEN We came together as a group through a pretty competitive environment. Our company was one of those where many trainees came and went. I think our CEO had the idea of forming a group with a darker concept from the start, so the company gathered members who fit that vision. After going through tough competition and training, we finally came together as a group.

2. How did you decide on your group's name, and what does it symbolize for you?

ON:N Before our debut, we held a naming contest for the team. The name ALL(H)OURS actually wasn’t one of the finalists from that contest. How should I explain this?

KUNHO After we held the naming contest, we actually came up with an idea everyone really liked, which was ALL(H)OURS, and our CEO decided that it will be our group name. At first, we thought the name might be a bit difficult and less approachable to the public, but over time, we grew to love it. I think the meaning behind the name is special, and the parentheses for the "H" make it stand out from other groups, which makes us even more attached to it.

3. What is the concept or message you want to convey through your music and performances?

KUNHO We want to remind the public of our biggest strength, which is our live performances. We hope people recognize ALL(H)OURS as a group full of energy that embodies the idea of a “perfect idol.” We’re working hard to earn those titles as soon as possible!

4. How does each member contribute to the creative process, both in music and choreography?

KUNHO We put a lot of effort into making sure that even the short sections in our music reflect our individuality and character. When it comes to choreography, ON:N, YOUMIN, XAYDEN, and all of our members take part in the process. Gestures and small details are where we really try to bring out our unique personalities and styles. ON:N and YOUMIN, in particular, can also choreograph, so every member contributes in many different ways throughout the process.

5. Can you describe your individual musical influences and how they shape your sound as a group?

MASAMI I've been influenced by my mom the most. Because I’ve lived in Korea and away from home since I was young, her constant support and encouragement have been my biggest source of strength. She’s the reason I keep pushing forward.

HYUNBIN I have been influenced and inspired by Stray Kids’ HYUNJIN, especially his stage performance. His presence on stage is so amazing, and I want to incorporate that into my performances. I tried studying his expressions and skills to use on stage and will continue to do so to improve my stage presence like him.

YOUMIN The artist who has inspired me the most in life, on stage, and as an artist is Justin Bieber. His music really matches my taste, and I wouldn't be exaggerating if I said I'm listening to his songs 24/7. I admire his vocal skills and how he treats and interacts with his fans on stage. I think there’s so much to learn from him, and I really love him for that.

MINJE I look up to EXO’s D.O. the most. Since I was young, especially when I first got into K-pop, D.O. has caught my attention instantly. He is also an actor, and I admire how he uses emotional expressions in his performances and inspires me a lot.

XAYDEN I think I've been inspired by many international rappers and pop artists. Whenever I watch their performances, they seem so free and unafraid to express their vision, showing their true selves without hesitation. I try to bring that same energy to my own performances, aiming to add something fresh to the team while being authentic on stage.

KUNHO I’ve been really influenced by HAN from Stray Kids. Seeing how he produced his own song to further establish the team's identity and color motivated me to also participate in creating songs and think about ways to contribute to shaping our team's unique sound. He inspires me to expand upon those ideas and figure out how to bring our color into our work.

ON:N I get inspired by all K-pop groups and senior artists. To name a few, for dance power, I look up to THE BOYZ’s Q. When it comes to clean and sharp dance lines, SHINee’s TAEMIN is my role model. And for vocals, NCT’s HAECHAN really inspires me.

6. How do you balance your personal style with the group’s overall image and concept?

KUNHO We mostly perform very powerful stages, but I'm not the type to get angry easily and don't like frowning or making an angry face in everyday life. So, on stage, I think of it more as acting and playing a different role. That way, I can maintain a good balance between me, Lee Kunho, as a person and ALL(H)OURS' KUNHO.

7. What was the most challenging aspect of your training and preparation before debuting?

ON:N We decided to do live performances from the very beginning, so when we first tried it, it was a huge challenge. Singing while dancing would make our pitch and vocals unstable and our choreography not clean. But through a lot of lessons and practice, we gradually worked on improving and growing, and I think that process itself was a challenge during training.

8. Can you share a behind-the-scenes moment that fans may not know about?

KUNHO I have moles on my index fingers, and they're symmetrical. I was eating meat, and some oil splashed, leaving a spot on my finger. Then, another day, I noticed that the other side also got a similar spot. This is some top secret information that I've never told anywhere!

MASAMI Like KUNHO, I also have symmetrical moles on my lips.

KUNHO Mole group!

YOUMIN Some people may already know, but my ears are a bit folded. So when people notice them and ask why my ears are folded, I tell them they've been folded since I was born. That’s definitely a TMI.

KUNHO I hope we answered the question well.

9. How do you stay connected with your fans, and how much do they inspire you in your work?

KUNHO Our fans are the driving force behind everything we do. We actively use platforms like b.stage to communicate and also communicate with our Korean and international fans through Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, and Weibo. We always say we exist because of our fans. So, whenever we feel tired or challenged, thinking about our fans truly gives us the strength to push through, and...

ON:N Motivates us to rise again.

KUNHO Yes, motivates us to rise again. They truly help us keep going and challenge ourselves.

ON:N When we practice, I always watch our music show performances and think about what we could do better next time. Every time I hear the cheers and support from our fans, Min(ut)e, it makes me want to hear it again and motivates me to prepare even harder for the next album to reply to their love and energy.

10. What’s your favorite part of performing live on stage for your fans?

XAYDEN I think it’s great to gain more confidence. Even though it's not a concert, performing live on a music show makes me proud and feels like all the hard work and practice pays off. It's such a rewarding feeling.

KUNHO We practice without any cheer in our practice rooms, but when we perform live in front of our fans, we receive so much cheer that feels like getting that confirmation for all the hard work we’ve put in. I believe performing live is also one of the most basic things for any singer or K-pop idol, so we make sure to practice with that in mind. Since live performances are different from the original tracks, we add ad-libs and extra energy, which allows the listeners to really immerse themselves and enjoy the moment.

MINJE To add onto what KUNHO said, I feel a connection with our fans whenever we perform live, so I think that's a huge advantage of performing live for our fans.

11. Do you have a particular song or performance that holds a special meaning to you?

YOUMIN For me, "Graffiti" stands out to me the most. It’s the most hip-hop-like and free-spirited song we've released so far. We were able to show off our wide vocal range and bring a new side of ALL(H)OURS to our fans and the public through those performances. I think it represented our group’s color and identity, making it one of our defining tracks.

XAYDEN The song "ALL OURS" in our debut album holds a special place in me. Since all of us participated in writing the lyrics, and the song was based on our own stories, it felt more personal and touching. Whenever we perform or listen to it on stage, I think there’s a deeper emotional impact, and it hits differently compared to other songs.

12. How do you handle the pressures of being in the spotlight, both as individuals and as a group?

HYUNBIN I personally try to approach everything with a positive mindset, thinking that I can change anything with an optimistic perspective. The pressure before performing usually goes away when we go on stage, so I try to enjoy that nervousness and later turn it into greater energy for our performance on stage.

XAYDEN I definitely feel like being with the team helps reduce the pressure. I'm not on stage alone — our group members are there with me, and knowing that our fans are cheering for us gives me extra strength and helps lighten the load.

13. What is the most rewarding part of being part of ALL(H)OURS?

YOUMIN My proudest moment is definitely on stage. Whenever our Min(ut)e fans cheer for us loudly and show their support, it energizes us to give our best in return, creating this great interaction. I think that mutual energy makes the stage feel the best.

KUNHO Noticing more and more Min(ut)es supporting us and seeing ourselves perform on bigger stages make us realize how far we've come.

XAYDEN There are moments on stage when we are completely in sync, as if we were moving as one. I especially feel proud of ourselves whenever that happens on stage.

14. How do you stay motivated during tough times in your career or personal lives?

KUNHO I think our fandom Min(ut)e is a huge part of that motivation. Also, we are able to rely on each other by having the seven of us together, which gives me more strength to push through hardships.

15. What has been your proudest moment as a group so far?

KUNHO Although there were many proud moments, I would say our debut was my proudest moment as a group. It felt like we were compensated for the hard work we've done preparing as a group, and it was also a crucial moment for everyone to acknowledge that we were standing at the starting line of a new journey.

YOUMIN I'd say it was when our third mini album Smoke Point was released. We experienced and felt more attention from the public, which is incredible, and we genuinely really like this album too.

16. Are there any collaborations or artists you'd love to work with in the future?

KUNHO We would love to collaborate with Stray Kids, ATEEZ, and SEVENTEEN. We've always looked up to them as trainees, and practicing and covering their performances inspired us to want to become artists like them. We also want to collaborate with our uncle, JYP, someday!

17. How do you manage the balance between your busy schedules and personal time?

XAYDEN I try to get as much sleep as possible whenever I have free time, take my vitamins regularly, and make sure to eat properly. I think these little things help me stay healthy and energized.

KUNHO Since our work schedules are often irregular, we attempt to use those short breaks to work on personal growth. It could be reading a book, writing lyrics, or listening to music. I think we invest time in improving our individual skills and staying productive.

18. What do you hope to achieve next in your music career as a group?

KUNHO Our biggest goal is to create music that people can immediately recognize as ALL(H)OURS. I believe that if we keep making music like that, we will eventually make it to Billboard charts and hopefully even have our name on big stages like Coachella.

ON:N As KUNHO just mentioned, we want to create music that makes people think of ALL(H)OURS when they hear it. Additionally, I want to explore different genres and styles within our music.

19. How do you think K-pop is evolving, and what role do you hope ALL(H)OURS plays in that change?

KUNHO I think the reason the K-pop market has become so active is because of the fandoms. A huge fanbase and popularity definitely help the K-pop industry to continue growing even bigger overseas.

KUNHO With the fanbase we have now, we want ALL(H)OURS to be recognized as a group with a strong and passionate fandom while also establishing our own unique identity and sound. We want our color shine through in the K-pop scene.

XAYDEN I think it’s been a while since K-pop started gaining recognition and popularity, but I believe there are still undiscovered paths. I hope we can explore those hidden pathways and contribute to writing the next chapter in K-pop’s history.

20. Finally, what message would you like to share with your fans who have supported you since the beginning?

MASAMI Thank you to all our fans who have always supported, loved, and cared for us. With our third mini album Smoke Point, we will show you even more amazing performances and love, so please keep an eye out for us. We look forward to your continued support. I love you!

KUNHO To our Min(ut)e fans overseas, we want to say that we’ll be coming to see you soon, so please wait for us!

21. If ALL(H)OURS were a flavor of ice cream, what flavor would you be and why?

KUNHO I would say mint chocolate ice cream. If people think about mint chocolate flavors, people would either love or hate it. Similarly, I think we try things that other groups might not and end up creating a unique flavor that surprises people, something they didn’t expect but end up liking.

XAYDEN There is a saying that although there may be people who have never tried mint chocolate, there's no one who hasn't had it at least once. I believe that once people get to know us, they’ll get hooked and keep coming back for more, like mint chocolate ice cream.

22. If you could switch places with any member for a day, who would it be and what would you do?

XAYDEN I would choose YOUMIN. He's ALL(H)OURS' energizer. Every time I see him, he's always full of energy, never getting tired, so I’d love to experience his vitality and endless energy. I’d want to play soccer with his body.

YOUMIN I would switch with HYUNBIN. He has long arms and legs, and as someone who loves dancing, I think dancing with long limbs would look really cool. I would love to experience dancing with Hyunbin's body.

23. What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s ever happened to you during a performance?

XAYDEN Oh, we got some stories.

KUNHO There was a time when my pants ripped during a performance. It was the first time in my life that my pants tore. And it wasn’t even during a music show, but it happened while performing at an arena. I cannot forget that moment. Fortunately, I was wearing a nice innerwear. Maybe a potential underwear ad?

24. If you could create your own K-pop dance challenge, what would it look like?

YOUMIN K-pop dance challenge?

ON:N I would make it extremely difficult so even the best dancers around the world would struggle to learn it. It would be an actual dance "challenge."

YOUMIN No need for long explanations. If we make the final dance break of our song "GIMME GIMM"E a K-pop dance challenge, I think a lot of people would take on the challenge.

KUNHO I was thinking the opposite thing. I’d actually create a simpler challenge that more people can easily learn and try because we usually perform intense and difficult choreographies. Since our song is addictive, I think making the dance challenge more accessible would attract a lot of attention. A perfect balance of challenge and fun!

25. Which member is most likely to get lost in a new city?

XAYDEN I think everyone is thinking of the same person.

YOUMIN I agree.

XAYDEN Probably MINJE.

ON:N That's right.

KUNHO He gets lost even in Korea, so if we were abroad, we would have to have a strap on his bag to not lose him.

26. If you could have any superpower, what would it be and how would you use it for the group?

MASAMI Teleportation.

YOUMIN Oh, I thought of teleportation too.

MASAMI We could come to work immediately with it. It's hard to get up and move in the morning, so we could arrive at our company in the blink of an eye. After practicing, we could teleport back to our dorms as well. How awesome is that!

KUNHO I've been thinking about this recently. We usually get our makeup done at a beauty salon before going on stage, but if we had a superpower that does automatic makeup, we could get any makeup that we're feeling that day really fast and easily remove it. I think it would save us a lot of time, and we could use that extra time to improve the quality of our performance.

XAYDEN I would want the power to freeze time so that we are the only ones who can move. During that time, we could practice countless times to perfect our performance. So, even before a second has passed, we would already have finished all our practice and show unbelievable performances like that.

ON:N I thought of teleportation, too. I’d love for ALL(H)OURS to be able to travel quickly to different areas and manage our busy schedules to connect with many fans.

27. What’s your go-to snack before a performance or practice?

MINJE I enjoy eating Korean puffed corn snacks.

KUNHO Korean traditional snack!

MINJE I feel like it's a light snack that helps me maintain weight. Whenever I have some when I'm tired, it recharges my energy with some carbs, so it's one of the snacks I often eat.

28. If ALL(H)OURS were to star in a reality TV show, what would the show be called?

ON:N ALL(H)OURS' Real All Hours.

XAYDEN Oh, like that kind of vibe?

XAYDEN Our reality show? If we were to do one...

YOUMIN I like his idea.

KUNHO "GOTCHA."

XAYDEN Prank Guy.

29. Which member would be the best at playing a prank on others, and what’s the best prank they’ve pulled off?

XAYDEN I don't know if I should say this.

YOUMIN Can we say this? Well, the most playful member is...

XAYDEN I think it's our leader.

YOUMIN Our leader.

KUNHO Oh really? That's unexpected.

XAYDEN He jokes around all the time. What would be the most surprising prank he did...

ON:N I have so many moments when he surprised me.

HYUNBIN The most surprising one...

XAYDEN If I take out that one incident, nothing else was that surprising.

YOUMIN That one is really impactful.

XAYDEN The one that surprised us the most... What else did he do?

MASAMI I don't remember.

HYUNBIN Turning off the lights when I'm showering.

XAYDEN But those aren't too surprising.

YOUMIN This is hard. Or maybe something like...

XAYDEN KUNHO often cuts off the conversation by yawning like "haam~" when he feels like he's losing the argument. It was quite shocking for us to see how sneaky and playful someone can be.

30. If you could have any pet as a group mascot, what animal would you choose?

XAYDEN A red hare. ALL(H)OURS' mascot, a red hare. Something like that.

KUNHO A red horse.

XAYDEN A red horse is what Lü Bu rides.

YOUMIN A red hare!

ON:N It would symbolize our passion and determination to achieve our goals and bring out our full potential.

HYUNBIN I think I would choose a dragon. It can represent our aim to reach a legendary status at the top.

YOUMIN I like that.
