Having a bad day? Not for long. This band’s name literally means “sunlight,” and they’re about to cheer you up in a big way. Don’t fight it. It’s inevitable. You will be happy again.
Self-described as “Nordic Indie Pop,” Lea and Samuel are a brother/sister duo called ORA. They write, record, and produce slick music together that explores the highs and lows of young adulthood. It’s melodious, harmonious, and insightful.
Bad Day ARTWORK
Their debut single, “Bad Day,” is a feel good, late summer indie gem. It has a groove that feels like it was meant for lazy, sweltering sunny days lounging in the pool or sunbathing on the grass. Listen a little closer, however, and you’ll discover through the lyrics that they’ve turned personal turmoil into an emotionally honest anthem that’s too infectious to escape. It will get stuck in your head, and it will put you in a good mood.
Lea and Samuel’s creative chemistry is a key element of ORA’s charm. Their contrasting yet complementary styles—Samuel’s introspective approach and Lea’s extroverted energy—create a rich, inviting sound. This dynamic partnership allows them to explore emotional depth and uplifting melodies with equal prowess, making "Bad Day" a vibrant introduction to their unique blend of R&B and indie-pop.
