By HQ

On July 3, 2025, at Anime Expo in Los Angeles, 14-member Japanese idol group Sakurazaka46 made their long-awaited U.S. debut—and it was nothing short of spectacular. Performing at the legendary Peacock Theater, their set blended stadium-level precision with emotionally charged stage presence, thrilling both longtime fans and curious newcomers alike.

From their early days as Keyakizaka46 to becoming chart-topping leaders of the Sakamichi Series, Sakurazaka46 have consistently pushed the boundaries of what a Japanese idol group can be. Their international recognition continues to grow with appearances at global festivals like Japan Expo Paris, Clockenflap Hong Kong, and now their first five-city Dome Tour in Japan, including three sold-out nights at Tokyo Dome.

TMRW sat down with several members of Sakurazaka46 to reflect on their historic U.S. performance, talk about their evolution, and look ahead to what's next.
