Vinyl Picks #003
tmrw is all about ditching the digital noise and diving headfirst into the raw, tactile world of analog. From gritty film shots to punchy print layouts that don’t play it safe. The tastemakers at 3hive get it, too — they live for analog, especially when it spins at 33 RPM.

1. Out of Body by Geo | Erste Theke Tontraeger
Dutch quartet Geo explores the intriguing question: "What if Mark E. Smith had fronted Talking Heads?" Their no-wave masterpiece, Out of Body, provides an answer. This album delivers ten tracks of post-punk and no-wave brilliance, brimming with groove. The rhythm section is exceptionally tight, anchoring the music as the guitars twist, shred, and slice through the soundscape. For a glimpse of the album’s standout tracks, check out “Caught A Cricket” and “Wu Obt Fas”. Out of Body is released via the German label Erste Theke Tontraeger and is available on vinyl or digital formats from their Bandcamp page or directly from Geo. Don’t miss out—grab it and enjoy!
2. Within/Without by Houses of Heaven | Felte Records
Oakland’s Houses of Heaven deliver their sophomore LP, Within/Without, featuring ten compelling tracks of gritty, pulsating dark wave infused with early industrial influences reminiscent of Nitzer Ebb and '80s-era Ministry. If you’ve ever imagined the soundtrack to your darkest nightmare, this album fits the bill. For a preview, listen to “Within/Without” and the standout track (in my opinion) “Deserve,” which features Ms. Boan Mariana Saldaña on vocals. Within/Without is available through Felte Records. For the love of god - cop it.
3. Outsider by Bermuda Squares | Feel It Records
With members from Sinks, Neo Neos, Citric Dummies, Color TV, green/blue, Retainers, Dummy, the Soviettes, IV, and Awesome Snakes, Bermuda Squares’ single “Car Accident” is guaranteed to rock—and it certainly does! Their debut LP, Outsider, has just been released by Feel It Records, and it’s a standout. Check it out for yourself.
