VIVIZ are in the middle of a moment that feels both familiar and completely new. With the release of their first full-length album A Montage of ( ) a nd the launch of their 2025 world tour NEW LEGACY, the trio – EUNHA, SINB, and UMJI – are marking a turning point where years of experience meet a willingness to stretch into uncharted territory.
Released in July, the group’s first studio album is layered and shifting, weaving between giddy brightness and shadowed edges, while the tour brings those emotions to life on stages across continents. For a group that has already navigated multiple evolutions, this chapter feels less like a reinvention than a deepening of what they’ve always been: three artists constantly finding new ways to be seen.
That idea of visibility runs throughout their new era – as well as our exclusive photo shoot, carrying the twin messages “Dream with me” and “Do you see me now?” The phrases capture both the intimacy of standing on the edge of performance and the vulnerability of asking to be recognised in full. It’s a question VIVIZ seem to be asking of themselves as much as their audience. What does it mean to be seen after years in the industry? How do you hold on to your individuality while still being part of a collective identity? These tensions give their music its texture, and they colour the way the members talk about their growth.
Musically, A Montage of ( ) gives that growth space to unfold. The album contrasts shimmering optimism in tracks like “Citrus” and “Wildflower” with the sharper confidence of “Toxic” or “Sticker,” reflecting a group unafraid of emotional range. For the first time, solo tracks let EUNHA, SINB, and UMJI’s voices stand completely alone – a chance for each member to test her own edges before folding back into the whole. They speak about what those moments revealed: new shades of expression, a different kind of confidence, and a renewed sense of how individuality strengthens the collective. In this way, the album feels less like a closed statement and more like an open portrait, full of pieces that connect to form something bigger.
If the album captures their evolving identity in sound, NEW LEGACY does the same in motion. The tour title signals their awareness of history while insisting on looking forward – not legacy as a monument, but legacy as something living, shaped night after night in different cities. On the road, they find grounding in small rituals, in the memories they know will stay vivid years from now, and in the shared energy with their fans – known as Na.V – that transforms each stage into something unrepeatable.
For VIVIZ, this era makes space for vulnerability and strength, individuality and unity, lightness and shadow – all the contradictions that, together, define who they are right now.
1. The concept of our photoshoot – 'Dream with me' – captures the moment right before stepping on stage. What kind of thoughts usually run through your head at that exact moment?
EUNHA I think about doing a good job without making any mistakes, and I also look forward to how the audience watching the stage would react.
SINB I usually just think, 'Let's just do it like I always do!' Rather than overthinking, I try to trust myself.
UMJI I think, 'Let me do my part well today.' Let's make sure it is worth the time for those who came to see us!
2. Our concept also asks, 'Do you see me now?' — a question that can mean many things. As artists and individuals, what does it mean to be truly seen, and do you feel that now more than before?
EUNHA I think I know my true self better than I did before. Isn't seeing the real me about accepting and loving both my flaws and my strong sides?
SINB I think truly seeing myself is a complicated task. More than anyone else, the person I sometimes understand yet don't fully grasp is myself. Still, I feel like I'm trying to look within a little more than I did before.
UMJI I'm not sure if I'm seeing myself any better now than I did before. It's never easy to fully understand and figure yourself out. But discovering new sides of myself one by one feels like part of the charm of growing older.
3. VIVIZ recently released 'A Montage of ( ),' your first full-length album. If you could each choose a single word to fill in the album's blank — 'A Montage of ___' — what would it be and why?
EUNHA I actually like the fact that it's blank. But if I had to choose… limitless?!
SINB Rather than picking a word, I'd go with an exclamation mark - '!' Because it's surprising… I think it's an album full of surprises.
UMJI I would go with 'us.' Because it's an album that contains our story.
4. In your new album, you explore a wide range of concepts and sounds. What's something you've learned about expressing yourselves musically over the years that you feel really shines in this project?
EUNHA I think I've gotten better at expressing the mood that fits each song. I want to bring out a variety of vocal styles in my singing.
SINB In the past, if I felt something was good enough, I would just leave it at that. But now, instead of going for what feels good and safe, I try to experiment with different emotions.
UMJI I think I've definitely gotten better at expressing calmer, more composed emotions compared to before.
5. When you think about how your music has changed since your 2022 debut 'Beam of Prism,' what's the biggest shift in sound and in feeling?
EUNHA Unlike the more playful and upbeat songs we had in the beginning, our music now feels deeper and more mature. I think our music now reflects a sense of growth and maturity and suits VIVIZ very much.
SINB At first, we were in the process of figuring out what VIVIZ's color was, but now we've come to understand how each of us can bring out that color.
UMJI With our first mini album, we mainly focused on showing our energy and liveliness, but with each new release we've been able to express a wider range of emotions. Over time, I think the depth of those emotions has also grown.
6. With solo tracks on this album, we get a rare chance to hear your individual voices stand alone. What did you each discover about yourselves while working on those songs? Did it change how you see your role in the group?
EUNHA Since I've always been so used to working in a team, doing a solo track felt a little daunting at first, but I realized it's actually a really interesting and exciting experience.
SINB I honestly didn't have much confidence about doing a solo track, but through this process I came to realize, 'Wow, I can actually carry an entire song with just my voice.'
UMJI It's not exactly something new I discovered, but watching myself pay attention to every tiny detail during the process made me realize once again that I really am the type of a person who tires myself out.
7. The title track 'La La Love Me' is playful but emotionally sure of itself. What kind of energy or attitude did you bring into recording that track?
EUNHA Since there wasn't a chance to re-record anything, I focused even harder. I gave it my all, singing as if it were my last take. The 'Like you, like you' part was recorded at the very end, so because I felt relieved and excited by then, it ended up sounding a little cuter and more playful.
SINB I tried to capture a slightly fluttery feeling. Since the song isn't just bright and upbeat, I thought a lot about how to sing it in a way that still left a pleasant feeling.
UMJI I wanted to express a kind of playful sensitivity that's somewhat ticklish but enjoyable at the same time. And in the chorus, I tried to bring out a more innocent vibe.
8. Some tracks on your album feel dreamy and light, others feel more sharp-edged or intense. Did you find yourself connecting to one emotional side more than the other while making the album?
EUNHA When I recorded the lower parts in 'Sticker' and 'Toxic,' it was my first time trying that style, so it was really exciting, and it made me want to try more songs like that. But the song I felt most comfortable with and that suited my voice the best was 'Hands Off My Heart.'
SINB When recording 'Sticker,' it was a style I'd never tried before, and I wasn't sure how to approach it. In the end, I let go of some tension and sang it more loosely and languidly than usual, and I think that's what made it work.
UMJI I found it especially fun to record the more dreamy songs. Since this album came out in the summer, I wanted to capture softer, refreshing, and cheerful tones, so I paid extra attention to my voice when recording the brighter tracks. I recorded songs like 'Citrus' and 'Hands Off My Heart' thinking that it would be nice if listeners could almost sense the fragrance through the music.
9. The name of your 2025 World Tour 'NEW LEGACY' feels like a bold title. What does legacy mean to you now — especially as artists who've already been through multiple evolutions?
EUNHA The phrase 'new legacy' felt even more powerful to me because of the accomplishments we've made so far. It reflects our determination to create just as much success going forward...?
SINB To me, it's about wanting to continue building on this success.
UMJI Just like the phrase itself, I want to show something truly impressive, so it's a title that makes me both nervous and determined to give my all.
10. With so much travel ahead for you in 2025, what helps you feel at home no matter where you are?
EUNHA A soft pillow that doesn't strain my neck. A cozy blanket that’s not too thin. Hot water that helps to wash the fatigue away.
SINB Pajamas that smell like fabric softener.
UMJI Seeing myself without makeup. Comfortable pajamas. A cozy blanket.
11. Are there any moments from the tour so far that you know you'll still remember years from now?
EUNHA So far, we've only done concerts in Korea, so I'm not really sure yet. But I expect that visiting new countries will bring us completely new experiences.
SINB Honestly, probably every moment. But I think the feeling on the last day of the tour – the relief of 'Ah, we did well again this time!!' – will stay with me for a long time.
UMJI I think it'll be the first concert, and also the very last show of the tour. Actually, I feel like the entire journey will be unforgettable.
12. VIVIZ has often blurred the lines between dreamy femininity and powerful control (both in terms of the visuals and the messages). Do you see that duality — softness and strength — as a defining part of the VIVIZ identity?
EUNHA I like it! It's cool. I think I'll remember it that way going forward.
SINB I think so. That duality allows us to show even more sides of VIVIZ.
UMJI Yes. I think that duality exists not only on stage but also in us as people, so these concepts really fit our identity.
13. The album invites people into a more personal emotional space. Is there a specific feeling, message, or moment you hope stays with listeners long after they've heard it?
EUNHA The fact that we're all precious to one another, and a love as warm as summer. ❣️
SINB I hope people remember it as an album filled with VIVIZ's fiery passion, similar to the scorching summer heat.
UMJI I hope people remember this album as fragrant songs and emotions, given as a gift during a hot summer.
14. If you could freeze one moment from this album era — a performance, a feeling, a behind-the-scenes memory — what would you want to remember most?
EUNHA During promotions, we held a mini fan meeting, and it was the biggest turnout we've ever had. I felt so happy.
SINB We'd never revealed any music before our actual release, but at our concert in Korea we shared a part of the album with our Na.V ahead of the official release. That was such a thrilling moment.
UMJI Each time we release an album, I always want to remember and treasure every warm message and good vibes our fans share with us.
15. You've been in this industry for years, but this album and tour feel like a fresh chapter. What feels new to you about this moment?
EUNHA This album includes my first solo track, which definitely felt completely new. I'm also really excited and looking forward to the upcoming tour.
SINB I'm grateful that we were able to release a full-length album as VIVIZ, and I'm happy that we can meet many Na.V in different countries through our second world tour.
UMJI Sharing a full album with Na.V, packed with nine tracks, as well as performing some of those songs for our fans at the concert was a new challenge, and I really enjoyed it.
